FIVE
LECTURES ON SELF MANAGEMENT
(Based on Patanjali's Yoga Sutras)
1. YOGIC WORLD VIEW
The world is made of two principles matter and consciousness.
Matter evolves into ego, mind, sense organs, motor organs, five elements,
time-space events, evolutionary historical processes and human habitat
and the present culture. The whole process unfolds and enfolds in the
presence of a detached consciousness. This holistic worldview is central
to Yoga vision and practice.
2. YOGIC
PSYCHOLOGY
Yoga psychology goes deep into the structure of the mind its
causal, subtle and gross aspects; its functions and dysfunctions; its
limitations and enormous potentialities. Mind binds as well as liberates.
The key is mindfulness.
3. JOURNEY
OF THE INDIVIDUAL SOUL
The mystic realm of Yoga, near death experience and beyond death. What
does the soul carry through life after life. Life regression and mental
purification and health. The karma baggage and depth psychology. God
as an enlightened soul. Linear and cyclical evolution. The key point
is relax, for the soul is immortal.
4. YOGIC
GOAL OF LIFE
Samadhi and Kaivalya states of bliss. Enjoyment and enlightenment goals.
Yogic experience of world and suffering. Mental powers and siddhis.
Spirit over matter. Realizing dreams and desires. Progress versus transcendence.
Everlasting bliss is our goal as a well as our nature.
5. YOGIC
SADHANA
Kriya-ashtanga-nirodha yoga paths leading to discernment. Meditation
and wisdom. Management of body-mind-spirit and realization of human
potential. A tool kit for enlightened management of life and its challenges.
Swami Bodhananda
brings years of study of Vedanta, Yoga, Sankhya and management into
focus in these five lectures for benefit of modern practicing managers
and leaders desirous of success, creativity and fulfillment.
FIVE
CHAKRA MEDITATIONS
Swami
Bodhananda has been teaching meditation in AMA for many years. This
year his teaching will focus on the seven Chakras or energy centers
in the human body. Because of bad life style, negative thought processes
and hurt feelings these chakras remain inactive in many of us, resulting
in low energy, tension, fear and anger. Through a process of chanting,
pranayama, mudras, visualization and meditation, Swami Bodhananda helps
you reactivate those chakras and release immense energy and free you
from all negativities and illnesses. Which leads the practitioner to
total health, joy and inner peace. These five meditations will not only
reactivate chakras, but also awaken the inner serpent power uniting
it with the center of consciousness in the brain for the experience
of enlightenment.
