Siddhi-Vinayaka
Dharma Kalasa-aradhana Programme

Sri Siddhi Vinayaka is the patron deity of Sambodh Foundation India. Sambodh Ashram Temples worship Sri Siddhi Vinayaka as the patron deity, with the Ganesa Gayatri mantra, and the Dharma kalasa.

Siddhi Vinayaka Dharma Kalasa Aradhana
is envisioned by HH Swami Bodhananda Saraswati. The three objectives of this mantra sadhana is (i) gain purity of mind, (ii) invoke blessings of Siddhi Vinayaka for health, prosperity and peace, (iii) to remove obstacles inorder to fulfill one legitimate desire.

Those who take part in this programme (in India and abroad) chant the Ganesa Gayatri mantra everyday atleast eleven times. Gurudev (or in His absence the concerned initiate) initiates the person to Ganesa Gayathri mantra. He (or she) will chant the mantra everyday atleast 11 times and deposit a minimum of Re.1 into a Dharma Kalasa (Kalasa will be provided by Sambodh). The vision/samkalpa is that at the end of the year one legitimate desire of the Ganesa devotee/sadhaka will be fulfilled. Siddhi Vinyaka Dharma Kalasaradhana programme is organized in respective places, every year, and new kalasas received and the old kalasas returned as an offering to Siddhi Vinayaka. The dharma of one rupee thus offered everyday is used for programmes for the uplift of the poor and the underprivileged.
Siddhi Vinayaka Dharma Kalasa Aradhana Programme combines the prupose of microcharity and the need to be connected to Siddi Vinayaka the presiding God of all life events. siddhi Vinayaka is the patron deity of Sambodh Ashram Temples at all Centres.

The program can be organised in your house or in a public facility. Friends, relatives and whomsoever interested can be invited. If you are interested to join us and offer your prayers to the mighty Siddhi Vinayaka Write to us.

...
We, Ganesha devotees, have been chanting the mantra and offering charity in the Siddhi Vinayaka Kalasha for the last two years. Last year we reaffirmed our commitment to this sadhana program. Large number of new devotees came forward enthusiastically to join the Kalasha Sadhana. Some from the old batch left too. That has been always the case.
But Ganesha blesses all of us unconditionally. With His curved trunk He removes all obstacles from our path. His small piercing eyes keep constant vigil on our deeds and misdeeds.
His large, oversized years listen to all that we consciously and unconsciously say. With His single tusk He writes the script of our destinies.
Shri Ganapati Bapa is a symbol of joy, contentment and mirth, of affluence and wealth, peace and health. His two consorts, Siddhi and Buddhi, constantly serve Him in His world redeeming work. Devotees of Ganesha are blessed with sharp intellect and fulsome success.

In April,2003 we visited Sattal. Jasjit Mansingh, Marion (from Netherlands), Naveen, Alka and me spent three days in the gorgeous setting of the Himalayas, walking along the narrow footpaths visiting homes and chatting up with the villagers. Our purpose was to develop friendship with them, to assess their immediate needs unobtrusively and see what we can do for them on your behalf.
Their urgent universal requirement was clean, running, drinking water. Later they may need schools, health clinics, roads, electricity, and the list goes on and on. Our team committed two lakhs for the water project. I am sure you will approve of that.
Later, an utterly dejected and lost villager came to us and talked about his ailing wife, who required immediate medical treatment. We decided to grant him monetary help of Rs. 5000 on the spot. The fact there was somebody to listen to his tale of woe and bring some succor to his dark world of hopelessness brought a suspicion of a smile on the weather beaten wrinkled face of that man. For the first time I saw the face of God.
Friends, this project that we have collectively undertaken is something we have to do on a priority basis. So many of our brethren are suffering. We have to do our bit for them. This is the way to do it, not with arrogance, but with humility - that Lord ganesha is giving us an opportunity to serve the world and purify ourselves.
Sambodh Foundation and Sambodh Seva Trust are organising many programs for the spring. Naveen Budhraja will be detailing all of them in his report.
Wishing to see you in all those functions.
Jai Ganesha! Maha Ganesha!
Love and regards,
Swami Bodhananda

Source: Report written by R. Narayanan, 2000

Sri Ganesa, in the boon-conferring posture, the Siddhi Vinayaka, is the presiding deity of the Ashram of Bodhananda Seva Society in Tiruvananthapuram. The MahaGanesa Sahasra Kalasa Abhishekha was performed leading to the Pratishta (installation of the deity) in the Ashram premises. The elaborate events started on 4th December 2000 and concluded on the 6th December 2000 with the installation of the deity according to the Tantric rituals.

H.H.Swami Bodhananda was the Mukhya Acharya of the great event,
and Brahmasree Sankara Narayana Sarma the chief priest.

The MahaGanesa SahasraKalasaAbhishekha (anointation with 1001 sacred Pots) was performed as per the Tantra Sastra so as to augment the divine power of the Pratishta (deity) by purification rites. A 1001 Kalasaas containing 'Padya', 'Arghya', 'Achama' and other Panchavimsati Dravya (materials) were arranged in Brahma, Daivika (divine) and Manusha (human) Khanda (segment) as per Tantric prescription.

After the performance of the Puja according to the Sastraic prescription, with the Vadhyagosha (divine sound of musical instruments) in the background, the Siddhi Vinayaka Murthy, the Bestower of boons and the One without beginning or end, was given Abhishekha (anointation) at the right Muhurtta (auspicious time).

Events of the Three Days:
Day One:
Acharya Varanam: H.H.Swami Bodhananda was the Mukhya Acharya, presiding over for the fine conclusion of the event.

Vastu Suddhi Kriya: This ritual (Homa and Bali) is meant for the cleaning of the building, the premises and the air around the sanctum sanctorum, to remove all known and unknown spirits from the surrounding, and give them all rights and respects.

Day Two:
Maha Ganapati Havanam: This ritual is to invoke the Maha Ganapati (Aavahana) and make His presence around through the offerings of Ishta Dravya (desired materials of the deity). After the completion of Aavahana the Brahma Kalasa Puja, the most important of the 1001 Kalasaas, is performed. The other 1000 Kalasaas are called Pari Kalasa. The other rituals were Parikalasa Puja, Adhivasa Puja and Adhivasa Homa . By the Adhivasa Puja and Homa the spirits of Devi and Deva and Maanusha are given due respects and offerings. In the night Sayana Puja was performed and the Kalasaas kept covered.

Day Three:
Usha Puja and Maha Ganesa Pratishta: By these rituals the deity of Siddhi Vinayaka was installed in the temple. After the installation of the deity, the Sahasra Kalasa Abhishekha, anointation by the 1001 Kalasaas was performed, marking the grand finale of the elaborate ceremony.
