Mantra for Meditation

Swami Bodhananda

These are a selection of insightful Mantra-like words from Swami Bodhananda. These words offer a space for clear thinking followed by a meditative silence.

Read, Repeat, Meditate,
and Be That Silence!

Two Spheres of Human Pursuit
...There are two spheres of human pursuit: the subjective and the objective. The subjective is the field of spirit, compassion and wisdom; whereas, the objective is the field of matter, knowledge and power.

Existence is a harmony of both these spheres. Life unfolds through the interaction of the subjective and the objective, and God is experienced in the unhindered unfoldment of life...

Wisdom from the past as a guideline for the Future
...Preparing yourself alone is a very shortsighted approach. Prepare your workers to operate in the competitive global market. Hone their hard and soft skills and use the wisdom from the past as a guideline for the future.

Indian managers have the onus for taking the country forward economically...enlarge your thinking and your vision will enlarge automatically.

Goal realisation
... all aspects of human problems are inter-connected. Simply put, the scriptures tell you to set a goal, work toward achieving it; when you achieve it, find out if that is what will help you grow. When applied to the corporate field, same philosophies aid in policy forming, decision making and a host of other challenging management tasks. Through goal realisation, all problems can solved, not just economic ones...

Samadhi

The ability to awaken your spirit in your work is SAMADHI.

The ideal of life is to gain perfection in the spirit.

Love is a non-demanding relationship

Love is a non-demanding relationship. A sharing mode of happy give and take.

Love is a movement from a body focused consciousness to an all embracing consciousness.

Ego-centered Desire

Ego-centered desires are
the inhibiting factors in spiritual unfoldment
.

Love is Silence

Love is silence, allowing others to be themselves, to create  themselves anew.

Love is expereinced as a space for beings to flower and fade.

Dignity of the Individual

To restore the dignity and ultimacy of the individual is considered state of the art ideal.

Saintliness

Saintliness cannot be acquired.
It has to be discovered as one's own essential nature.

Wisdom
Wisdom means drawing the line, and this only the individual can do, to draw the line between freedom and discipline, and attain optimal self-unfoldment.

The cultural status of a society is inversely related to outside discipline and directly proportional to individual self-discipline.

Human Potential
Human potential unfolds in a dynamics of conflict and cooperation, of war and peace, of violence and nonviolence, of construction and destruction.

Seeing things as they are is Freedom
When you allow the other to be what s/he is then you can be what you are.

Seeing things as they are is Freedom.

My Mission

If at all I have a mission, it is to laugh and laugh, and encourage a few others to laugh with me and ultimately seduce the whole creation to roar a cosmic laughter.

Non-quantifiable Value

Acutely aware of the wholeness of existence the spiritualist introduces non-quantifiable values like peace, love, sharing, and sacrifice in his/her discourse on society and nature.
